Dr Peng-Sheng Chen is the Medtronic-Zipes Chair of Cardiology and
Director of the Krannert Institute of Cardiology and the Division of
Cardiology, Department of Medicine, IU School of Medicine. He is also
the Editor-in-Chief of Heart Rhythm, the official journal of Heart
Rhythm Society. He received his medical degree from the National Taiwan
University, completed internal medicine training at the University of
Texas Southwestern Medical Center and cardiology training at Duke
University Medical Center. He is currently ABIM Board Certified for
Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Cardiovascular
Electrophysiology. Prior to joining the Krannert Institute of
Cardiology, Dr. Chen was the Pauline and Harold Price Chair in Cardiac
Electrophysiology Research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Professor
of Medicine in-residence, UCLA, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Chen has
published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles. He has contributed to
the understanding of the mechanisms of cardiac fibrillation,
defibrillation and the importance of the autonomic nervous system in
cardiac arrhythmogenesis.
