Inclusive orientation of the development of the insurance market of Ukraine in the conditions of digitalization of the economy

Abstract

The article substantiates the importance of an inclusive orientation in the development of the insurance market, which implies a more complete satisfaction of consumer needs. Insurance inclusion is considered as an integral part of financial inclusion, recognized by the world community as an engine of economic growth and an important factor in social equality. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the features, problems and mechanisms for ensuring the inclusiveness of the Ukrainian insurance market. In the course of the study, dialectical and abstract-logical methods, methods of a systematic approach, comparison, observation, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction and so on. An assessment of the main indicators of the development of the insurance market of Ukraine was carried out. It is noted that at present they do not meet the requirements of the time and indicate a low level of insurance inclusiveness. At the same time, it was found that over the past years, the insurance sector has been characterized by a stable annual increase in the volume of services provided; there is a growing demand for such types of insurance as life insurance, voluntary medical insurance, accident insurance; auto insurance, etc. It is noted that the identified trends are to a certain extent determined by the increasingly widespread introduction and use of digital technologies in insurance practice. The main measures based on the principles of social justice and aimed at meeting the equal needs of access to insurance services for all categories of potential consumers are outlined.
