Abstract

Abstract This paper discusses the influence of constant time delay in transmission of the control signal upon the output system of a closed-cycle control device. The use of Nyquist’s stability criterion permits investigation of the control signal proportional to any derivative of the displacement. The stability criteria are given in closed form.
