Abstract
The contribution of strategic planning to financial favorable outcomes has been recognized by the business sector. The sport sector has begun to recognize the value of strategic planning as well. Many sport researchers have claimed that without the betterment of strategic planning activities, sport will not survive the turbulent and competitive environment of the sport industry. The core problem of strategic planning is understanding its multifaceted character and interrelating different aspects of strategic planning development. The purposes of this study were to examine the strategic planning process and describe a strategic planning process for reforming the sport sector and analyze its various elements. If the sport managers follow the proposed strategic planning process, they will be able to deal with the intricate sport business environment and deliver high economic profits aiming at sustainable development.
