Hybridization of Tannic Acid With Technol PG Liposomes

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to create a complex of Technol PG-based liposomes with tannic acid (TA). Method: Technol PG-based liposome using a gentle hydration method was designed, and the hybridization with TA was achieved by the interaction between the surface of Technol PG-based liposome and TA. Results: Technol PG was highly soluble in methanol and ethanol, and Technol PG-based liposome could be prepared using a gentle hydration method for the film from the ethanol dispersion. Upon addition of TA, it was hybridized with Technol PG liposome, and TA-hybridized Technol PG liposome showed high dispersibility in an aqueous solution. Conclusion: This work would provide a new type of TA-conjugated liposome-based biomaterials.
