Abstract

The projection of future octane number requirements for future market demand directly involves a firm's share of the market and its long-run profitability. Octane projections must reflect the probable impact of rapid technological and economic change, as well as ever-changing consumer wants and attitudes. Here is a forecast methodology— an evaluation of the projection of future octane number requirements for marketing strategy.
