Abstract
This research article highlights the application of Infra red thermography (IRT) technique for analyzing the surface temperature variations during the tensile deformation. Few comparative tensile deformation tests were conducted on friction stir welded (FSW) P91-316LN dissimilar joints. The rise in temperature during plastic deformation is monitored under different welding and offset conditions and the deformation behavior with respect to time is visualized through IR thermal patterns.
