Abstract
Paxillin is shown to be critical for collective breast cancer cell invasion and metastasis via maintenance of adherens junctions (AJs). Mechanistically, paxillin-dependent E-cadherin endocytosis and recycling, microtubule acetylation, and modulation of Rho GTPase activities together contribute to AJ integrity.
