Abstract

CCPG1 interacts directly with endoplasmic reticulum (ER) luminal proteins, including aggregated protein. Cargo-interacting region in CCPG1 recognizes the ER luminal proteins. The ER luminal region of CCPG1 simultaneously recognizes multiple cargos. CCPG1 is a bispecific receptor for ER luminal cargos and the autophagic membrane.
