Abstract
Mycobacterium abscessus
group (MAG) are rapidly growing acid-fast bacteria that include three species:
M. abscessus
, M. massiliense
, and
M. bolletii
. These species are among the leading causes of nontuberculosis mycobacteria infections in humans but difficult to differentiate using commonly used methods.
