Abstract

ABSTRACT A simplified version of the tibia test in the hypophysectomized rat for the measurement of the biological activity of growth hormone is described. A rapid, simple and reliable stereotactic method for transauricular hypophysectomy which can be used in immature as well as in adult animals is applied and compared with other techniques.
