ABSTRACT
Serum SF activity was followed after hypophysectomy in three patients with mammary carcinoma and after excision of an eosinophilic adenoma in two patients with acromegaly. Serum SF decreased within 12 hours of hypophysectomy and then fell exponentially with time to the usual post-hypophysectomy level. The half life of serum SF in the three patients undergoing hypophysectomy was 9, 10.5 and 18 hours.
