Abstract

Abstract Fungating growths are most distressing causing substantial psychological distress for patients and families. Malodor associated with fungating growth causes social isolation, yet malodor management remains suboptimal. Management of fungating cancer growth of oral cavity is unique and difficult. This paper discusses the management of malodor and infection associated with fungating wound including definitive treatment of fungating growth of an oral cavity cancer patient.
