Abstract

Multiferroic Bi5Ti3Fe1−xMnxO15 films were synthesized using the sol–gel method. Mn-doping significantly reduces the optical bandgap and improves the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties, but excessive doping largely increases the leakage due to the increase of oxygen vacancies.
