Abstract

Photoexcitation of 3- and 4-bromodiphenyl ethers in CD3CN by 267 nm photon immediately dissociates Br producing solvent-bound diphenyl ether (DE) radical, which further reacts producing cyano-DE or deuterated-DE with an efficiency of 22–33%.
