Abstract

A novel family of core-extended mellophanic diimide derivatives, named 2,7-dibromobenzo[2,1-b:3,4-b′]dithiophene diimides, are synthesized for engineering polymeric semiconductors, which show a fine-tunable hole-transporting behavior.
