Abstract

In a series of [Ru(bpy)₂(C^N)][PF₆] complexes with a variety of functionalities in the cyclometallating ligand, the absorption response is enhanced considerably by the introduction of a 4-C₆H₄P(O)(OEt)₂ anchoring domain in the C^N pyridine ring.
