Abstract

Our proposition for the modification is:In opposition to the classical explanation of reactivity in Diels–Alder reactions, they can be facilitated by oxidation of dienes with the use of AgIISO4. Experimental and computational studies show the potential and bottlenecks of redox-initiated DA.
