1. Giuseppe Palmieri is Head of the Unit of Cancer Genetics at the Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry–National Research Council in Sassari, Italy. He earned his MD degree and board certification in oncology at University of Naples, Italy. His research is focused on genetic and molecular analyses on mechanisms and genes involved in tumorigenesis and cancer susceptibility.

2. Carla Rozzo is a researcher at Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry–National Research Council in Sassari, Italy. She is involved in the field of molecular and cellular biology in human cancer mainly melanoma. Her research is focused on in vitro testing of novel anticancer compounds and dissecting their mechanism of action in melanoma models.

3. Giusy Gentilcore is a biologist at National Cancer Institute in Naples, Italy. She trained in biology and natural sciences at the University of Naples. Her research work is focused on cell biology, expression analysis of candidate cancer genes, functional evaluation of apoptosis and cell death machinery in human cancer, mainly in melanoma.

4. Paolo Ascierto is Director of the Unit of Medical Oncology and Innovative Therapy at National Cancer Institute in Naples, Italy. He earned his medical degree and board certification in oncology at the University of Naples. Major research interests include assessment of molecular markers for tumour progression and management of targeted therapies in melanoma patients.
