Basics of Rational Use and Overview of the Expectorant Medicines Available on the Market

Abstract

Кашель - один из самых частых симптомов острых респираторных инфекций. В статье рассмотрены патогенетические механизмы развития кашля, а также особенности применения, классификация отхаркивающих лекарственных средств. Описаны механизм действия и клинико-фармакологические особенности применения отдельных отхаркивающих лекарственных средств и даны рекомендации по их применению в клинической практике. Cough is one of the most common symptoms of acute respiratory infections. In the article, there are discussed the pathogenetic mechanisms of the development of cough, as well as the features of use and classification of expectorant drugs. The mechanism of action and clinical and pharmacological features of the use of certain expectorant drugs are described. The recommendations are given for their use in clinical practice.
