TfOH‐Catalyzed Highly Regioselective Synthesis of Conjugated Enones by Coupling of Alkynes and Aldehydes

Abstract

AbstractTriflic acid‐catalyzed regioselective enone synthesis from intermolecular coupling of aldehydes and alkynes has been developed. The present reaction is very efficient, effective, simple in nature and mild. The substrate scope is very diverse. This metathesis reaction exclusively provided trans product using aryl and aliphatic aldehydes and internal and terminal alkynes.
