Abstract
AbstractA Brønsted acid‐catalyzed tandem cyclization/addition reaction of 1,4‐enediones with 2‐naphthols was developed, affording a series of 2‐furylmethylnaphthalenes in high yields (up to 98%). Furthermore, the control experiments revealed the possible reaction pathway and activation mode, which will enrich the research on Brønsted acid catalysis and tandem reactions.
