Abstract

AbstractIn this work, a Eu(TTA)3BIP complex with a novel structure was synthesized and characterized. The Eu(TTA)3BIP complex has a wide excitation band and can be excited by light in the ultraviolet and blue regions. The characteristic red light of Eu(III) is emitted when the complex is excited. The use of the 2‐(Pyrimidin‐2‐yl)‐1H‐benzo[d]imidazole (BIP) ligand improved the UV resistance of the complex. Moreover, the blue light reducing film prepared by the Eu(TTA)3BIP complex can effectively weaken blue light irradiation. In addition, the Eu(TTA)3BIP complex exhibits fluorescence thermal quenching properties. This provides the possibility for temperature sensing.
