Abstract

AbstractOver the past few decades, the removal of heavy metals and dyes from the water has become an important concern. Various research studies are focused for the treatment of wastewater and removal of such toxic metals and organic/inorganic dyes from water streams. The process of adsorption and photocatalysis has shown remarkable results in regard for the removal of metals and dyes from the aqueous solution. This paper provides an overall overview of different methods for the synthesis of nanoparticle, synthesis of polyaniline (PANI), and composites based on the PANI combined with nanomaterial. Also, this paper provides an insight on the efficiency of the fabricated nanocomposites for the adsorption of heavy metals and their photocatalytic efficiency for the degradation of dyes from the aqueous solution.
