Abstract

Abstract2‐Aminobenzochromenes and dihydropyranchromenes represent a unique class of biologically active compounds. We concentrate on the synthesis of biologically active compounds of chromenes using an environmentally friendly, heterogeneous green Amberlite IRA 400‐Cl resin catalyst. These chromene‐structured compounds enable them to be used as fluorescent sensors. The selected chromenes have been used as metal ion sensors to study their photophysical characteristics.
