Abstract
AbstractIn light of the extensive application of fluoroalkyl‐containing molecules and functionalized quinoxalin‐2(1H)‐ones in medicinal chemistry and functional materials, the visible‐light‐enabled C3‐H fluoroalkylation of quinoxalin‐2(1H)‐ones has garnered significant attention. In this review, we provide a detailed overview of the latest advancements in this rapidly evolving research area. We cover the utilization of various fluoroalkyl sources under the conditions of photocatalyst or without photocatalyst, and we discuss the pertinent reaction conditions, mechanisms, and substrate scope. Our objective is to help more chemists comprehend the challenges and opportunities within this field, thereby fostering its development.
