Abstract
Combining functional materials with mental–organic frameworks (MOFs) has emerged as a versatile approach to enhance the photocatalytic performance of artificial photocatalysts. This comprehensive review delves into the structural design of MOF‐based composites and highlight the advantages of each structure in water splitting and CO2 reduction. The review begins by discussing the diverse effects of various combination modes on the separation of photogenerated carriers. The synthetic approaches employed for each MOF‐based composite are presented. Subsequently, an in‐depth analysis of the photocatalytic performance of MOF‐based materials in water splitting and CO2 reduction is provided. Finally, the existing challenges and future prospects in the conclusion and outlook section are addressed.
