Abstract

AbstractReaction of B(4)‐acylmethyl o‐carborane with 2‐azido‐1,3‐dimethylimidazolinium hexafluorophosphate (ADMP) in the presence of 1,8‐diazabicyclo[5.4.0]‐undec‐7‐ene (DBU) in acetonitrile at 25 °C for 3 h produced a wide range of o‐carboranyl‐acyl‐substituted diazo compounds in high yields with good functional group tolerance.
