Abstract

AbstractChannel concrete expansion joint caulking is the key to waterproofing. When caulking the expansion joints of channel concrete panels, there are problems of dangerous manual operation on steep slopes and waterfront of channels, diffuse glue caulking, rough working surface, low production efficiency, and high cost. Based on the principles of automatic control, an infrared positioning intelligent device was proposed, consisting of a trolley skeleton, tape installation and width adjustment device, infrared positioning device, automatic measuring device, and electric glue cutting device. The test and application showed that the method could adapt and use different caulking materials or painting materials such as paint, gray, and glue, and could be smoothly applied to construction operations such as pavement scribing, floor seaming, and panel seam sealing. The process was fast and efficient, the personnel operation was safe, the cost was reduced and increased, and the appearance was neat and beautiful, which can be used in the control of adhesive scribing of concrete expansion joints in channels.
