Synthesis of BODIPY Oligomers Via Post‐Functionalization

Abstract

AbstractSynthesis of BODIPY oligomers has attracted increasing attention due to their intriguing properties and promising applications. Significant progress has been made to synthesize BODIPY oligomers via post‐functionalization, either single‐bond linked or fully conjugated. This concept article highlights the recent developments of BODIPY oligomers, including the synthetic routes, their photophysical properties and applications in the areas of NIR light absorbing dye, photodynamic therapy, and bioimaging etc.
