Technique for injecting very large volumes in capillary supercritical fluid chromatography

Abstract

AbstractA new technique for injecting very large volumes was developed for capillary supercritical fluid chromatography, which is based on dilution and venting techniques. Dilution of sample solution with carbon dioxide mobile phase made the selective venting of sample solvent very effective. Pressure at the end of the precolumn was also an important parameter for venting. With this method, injection of 100‐μL volumes was performed within 15 min. On‐line coupling of liquid chromatography to capillary supercritical fluid chromatography was demonstrated.
