Abstract

Displacement of the tracheostomy cannula (TSC) is a cause of morbidity and mortality in intensive care units. The analysis of Russian literature on the issue under study does not allow assessing the relevance and state of the problem in our country. The purpose of the study: to assess the relevance of the problem of TSC migration and the effectiveness of the implemented algorithm of actions in case of TSC displacement. The relevance was evaluated based on the results of a survey among resuscitators in the region. A retrospective single-center study was conducted in order to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of the algorithm of actions. The results obtained allow concluding that the problem of TSC migration is relevant for most resuscitators in the Stavropol Region. The development and application of a local algorithm of actions during the migration of the tracheostomy tube (TST) can reduce the frequency of errors in the provision of emergency care to this category of patients. Using the algorithm of actions during TST migration allows limiting the aggravation of the condition of patients who have undergone this critical episode.
