AbstractObjectiveDiscuss the label “impaired foot health” to be considered a problem‐focused nursing diagnosis according to the taxonomy of NANDA‐I.MethodsDiscussion article based on literature reviews and observational studies based on the authors’ PhD ongoing research about foot health among nursing students and professionals.FindingsAttending to the definition of nursing diagnosis and the scope of nursing practice internationally, several human responses and contexts should be considered, opening new opportunities for NANDA‐I completeness.ConclusionsA new nursing diagnosis has been disclosed, opening new dimensions to the NANDA‐I taxonomy.Implications for nursingThis nursing diagnosis represents an opening door for the taxonomy, particularly for occupational health nursing in an international context.
