Abstract
Tamarack (Larixlaricina (Du Roi) K. Koch) is a common constituent of the sub-Arctic forest some 175 km (108 miles) beyond the previously known range, extending across the continental divide in northern Yukon. It occurs on imperfectly to poorly drained mineral soils, often near the timber line, and on wet organic soils.
