Abstract
Abstract
Despite their benign nature, giant cell tumors (GCT) are locally aggressive bone tumors with a high recurrence rate. The most afflicted bones are the distal radius, distal femur, proximal tibia, and humerus and the commonly affected age group is 20–40 years. A bone GCT in the distal aspect of the proximal phalanx of the great toe, and fifth decade is exceedingly rare. In such circumstances, the standard therapy for GCT in such instances is extended curettage.
