Abstract

Abstract This case report highlights the presentation and management of a rare case of acute intestinal obstruction in an elderly patient in a peripheral hospital. The cause was cecal volvulus which was evaluated and managed emergently by early surgical intervention leading to a favorable outcome in the patient.
