Abstract
Tetanus toxin prepared from toxic filtrates of Clostridium tetani cultures has a weight-average molecular weight of 176,000�5,000 and exhibits no detectable heterogeneity with regard to size and shape. No marked change in sedimentation properties is observed on varying pH and temperature over a selected range, but the sedimentation coefficient increases on decreasing the ionic strength.
