Object:
The Body Image Questionnaire (BIQ) score was introduced to objectively evaluate the aesthetic effects of single and porous laparoscopic salpingectomy.
Methods:
A total of 40 patients undergoing single-port laparoscopic salpingectomy for fallopian pregnancy admitted to People's Hospital of China Three Gorges University from January 2019 to July 2021 were enrolled, and 38 patients undergoing conventional laparoscopic surgery for the same disease were selected as the control group. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) at 24 hours after surgery and BIQ were used to evaluate patients' body satisfaction and cosmetic satisfaction of postoperative wound scar.
Results:
here was no significant difference in the mean age, Body mass index (BMI), history of previous abdominal surgery, pelvic adhesion, Visual analogue score of pain at 24 h postoperatively, postoperative pain drug use, and Body Image Scale(BIS)score between the two groups. Two groups of patients with postoperative fever, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative 24 hours Hb decreased, total length of hospital stay, there was no statistically significant difference. However, there were statistical differences between the two groups in postoperative cosmetic score, total hospitalization cost, and operation time.
Conclusion:
Single port laparoscopic salpingectomy is safe and feasible and has certain advantages inincision beauty and incision pain.
