Abstract

Abstract The existence of every college and university is based upon its VMGO. The goals and ambitions of schools are solely guided by their mission and vision statements. Given that, this descriptive, comparative, and predictive-causal research is focused on assessing the cognizance, understanding, and acceptance of the students of the VMGO of the college. Moreover, it intended to determine the gender and year level difference concerning VMGO. Finally, it is aimed to determine if cognizance can predict understanding and acceptance; cognizance can predict perceived clarity and consistency; perceived clarity and consistency predict understanding and acceptance. After surveying 364 BPEd students, a significant difference was observed in gender and year level based on cognizance of the VMGO and its clarity and consistency. Also, it was found that cognizance positively predicts understanding and acceptance; cognizance leverages perceived clarity and consistency; perceived clarity and consistency influence understanding and acceptance. Based on the findings, several recommendations were presented. Also, this study invites all other Local Colleges and Universities and HEIs to assess their operations, policies, and performance by conducting a similar study to provide new information in the discipline. In the culmination of this study, the findings discovered are a true testament to the college's genuine commitment to its primary stakeholders in the spirit of excellence, resiliency, stewardship, and patrimony.
