ECOSYSTEM APPROACH IN EDUCATION: FROM METAPHOR TO METHODOLOGY AND PRACTICE

Abstract

The authors present a theoretical and practical justification for the implementation of the ecosystem approach as a new direction in accordance with the ideas of the “lifelong learning” concept. The article presents an analysis of the “ecosystem” concept, highlights the basic characteristics and features of educational ecosystems. By the example of the activities at state autonomous non-typical educational institution of Sverdlovsk region “Palace of Youth”, the program for the development of the ecosystem in the supplementary education for children of Sverdlovsk region is substantiated.
