Abstract

This chapter delves into the transformative field of learning analytics, providing a comprehensive overview of models and strategies aimed at increasing student engagement in educational settings. This exploration of learning analytics has revealed a wide range of factors tailored to increase student engagement, along with the relevant data to analyze. Through a systematic examination of these various models, this chapter offers a comprehensive framework that brings all of these factors together into a single picture that illustrates the multiple approaches educators and institutions can take to optimize engagement. By recognizing the synergy between these models, educators can use data-driven insights to optimize learning environments, foster motivation, and promote successful educational outcomes. This study underscores the central role of learning analytics in shaping the future of education and equips stakeholders with the tools they need to get the job done.
