Abstract

The field of neuroleadership, born from the intersection of neuroscience and leadership studies, has undergone a transformative journey. Beginning with early inquiries into the brain's role in leadership, the formal establishment of the NeuroLeadership Institute in 2007 marked a watershed moment. Subsequent recognition and integration in the 2010s propelled neuroleadership into leadership training, coaching practices, and corporate culture initiatives. Diverse applications emerged, spanning decision-making, emotional intelligence, change management, and diversity and inclusion. While neuroleadership faced critiques, ongoing research and publications solidified its legitimacy. In the present, the field continues to evolve, exploring novel applications and perspectives, with technology playing a pivotal role. As neuroleadership navigates the future, emerging opportunities, challenges, and the integration of neuroscience into leadership in a rapidly changing world define its promising trajectory.
