Abstract

Drug delivery research aims to deliver exact doses of anti-tumor drugs to tumors. Recent nanoparticle engineering trials have improved drug targeting, but results need to be better. Nanoparticles, like traditional medicine, target their target via blood circulation. The enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect helps most nanoparticles, PEGylated or not, reach their target. Nanoparticles with targeting moieties like antibodies or ligands do not deliver drugs to tumors, according to research. Targeted medicine delivery tumors created complicated biological, mechanical, chemical, and transport systems with changing properties. However, most research has focused on making and modifying drug-carrying nanoparticle surfaces. Bioactive substances delivered utilizing stimuli-responsive controlled-release nanomedicine may reduce side effects and boost effectiveness.
