Abstract

This chapter discusses the role of technology in empowering pre-service teachers to promote inclusive education. It highlights the potential of technology tools like screen readers and adaptive software to meet diverse learning needs. Strategies for designing inclusive teacher preparation programs are presented, along with reviews of assistive technologies and innovative educational technologies like Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Finally, the chapter addresses challenges in integrating technology for inclusivity, offering practical strategies for overcoming barriers and emphasizing the importance of collaboration among stakeholders. The chapter concludes with actionable recommendations for educators, policymakers, and researchers to effectively integrate technology in support of inclusive education.
