A Study and Analysis on the Valuation of Early-Stage Healthcare Start-Up Businesses in India

Abstract

The rapidly expanding Indian healthcare sector promises to improve and expand access to healthcare for a large number of people. Despite this expansion, little study has been done on the best way to value these fledgling healthcare companies, particularly when applying the Revenue Multiple approaches. This gap is important because knowing a company's value is crucial for getting investment and attracting investors. This paper examines the application of the Revenue Multiple techniques for valuing start-up, with an emphasis on early-stage Indian healthcare companies. It looks at the patterns in the present valuation and multiple of these start-ups. The study evaluates the valuations of emerging healthcare firms in India by analysing the actual multiples of early-stage start-up, offering practical insights for policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs.
