Abstract
The well-being of students encompasses their overall state of physical, mental, emotional, and social health and functioning within the context of their academic pursuits and personal development. However, there remains a significant gap in understanding the influence of familial social factors on the well-being of university students. Familial social factors, including family cohesion, communication patterns, parental expectations, and socio-economic status, are likely to significantly influence university students' well-being. Family relationships and support systems can serve as crucial sources of emotional, financial, and practical support during the transition to university life, influencing students' ability to cope with academic stressors and navigate developmental challenges. Thus, there is a pressing need for further research to explore the role of familial social factors in shaping the well-being of university students.
