Abstract

Education institutions are vital for society's development, and planners must prepare educational systems for the rapidly changing world of tomorrow while fostering in students a lifelong love of learning. Volunteers play a vital role in educating and supporting young people, providing valuable career insights. Understanding the benefits of volunteering is essential for developing leadership and stronger communities. The chapter examines the benefits of volunteering for students, focusing on how it may boost a student's career, foster a growth mindset, improve habits, provide practical skills, and foster leadership and stronger communities. The chapter further emphasizes how educational institutions can promote a culture of volunteerism and increase student interest in volunteering. Finally, this chapter outlines data as a stronger leg to stand on so educators can push for changes confidently.
