The integration of metaverse technologies into the healthcare sector has garnered increasing interest in recent years, promising innovative solutions to various challenges in patient care, medical education, and research. This chapter presents an overview of the state-of-the-art techniques for adopting metaverse technologies in healthcare industries. The chapter explores the potential applications of the metaverse in healthcare, including telemedicine, medical education, patient monitoring, and virtual reality-based therapies. It discusses the benefits of leveraging metaverse technologies, such as improved accessibility to healthcare services, enhanced patient engagement, and cost-effective training methods for healthcare professionals.
