Abstract

This book chapter delves into the transformative potential of AI-enabled smart buildings within the context of eco-friendly hotels. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, hotels can significantly reduce their carbon footprint while simultaneously enhancing guest comfort and satisfaction. The chapter examines the integration of AI systems into hotel infrastructures, highlighting their role in optimizing energy consumption, streamlining operations, and minimizing environmental impact. Through personalized climate control, adaptive lighting schemes, and intelligent room management systems, AI-driven amenities cater to individual guest preferences, fostering loyalty and positive brand associations. However, challenges such as privacy concerns, data security risks, and financial considerations must be addressed to realize the full potential of AI in shaping sustainable hospitality practices. The chapter concludes by outlining future directions and opportunities for further research and innovation in this dynamic field.
