Abstract
A shared and dynamic online environment consisting of networked communities, programs, and technologies will bring new possibilities for social media, the digital economy, and online experiences. For this reason, we need a medium that can unite these communities in a shared and dynamic online environment. Introduced a virtual world concept called the metaverse, which consists of various interconnected digital spaces, allowing users to interact, work, play, and create in a fully immersive environment. The metaverse combines elements from virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), blockchain, and the internet to create more immersive and interactive experiences. Social media, gaming, e-commerce, and other aspects of the metaverse ecosystem enable diverse activities and a robust virtual economy that generates jobs and business opportunities. This chapter contains the meaning of the metaverse, a brief explanation of metaverse elements, metaverse trends, and challenges, making it easier for readers to understand the metaverse.
